As a nonprofit religious organization,
an office of
Gandzasar Center
carries out charitable activities, such as helping
poor families and disadvantaged senior
citizens.
Since September 1993, an orphanage was opened through the efforts of the Center. The orphanage, named Zatik, cares not only for the physical needs of the children, now 120, but their educational and spiritual needs as well. The children are brought up in the spirit of Christian love, devotion and virtues.
Through the efforts of the Center, in 1994, a substantial donation was made by Austrian Caritas to the orphanage.
